Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. It is commonly prescribed in a combination drug form along with acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is available under the brand names Vicodin, Lortab, and Lorcet, and many others. It is prescribed in tablet, capsule, and syrup form. Hydrocodone is also called Hydrocodone APAP, in which the APAP simply refers to the ingredient of acetaminophen.
Hydrocodone side effects may be minor, such as decrease in libido (sex drive), nausea, and sweating. Major side effects are also possible, and may include jaundice (yellowing of the skin), seizures, and fatigue. If you experience major side effects or an allergic reaction to Hydrocodone, you should get emergency medical care. You should not use alcohol while taking this medication. Hydrocodone is a class "C" drug, so pregnant and nursing women should not take it. If you become pregnant while taking Hydrocodone, let your doctor know right away. People with medical conditions such as kidney or liver disease, asthma, and epilepsy may not be able to take Hydrocodone. Medications such as MAOIs, muscle relaxers, and other drugs containing acetaminophen may interact badly with Hydrocodone. Any medications that may make you drowsy should also not be taken with Hydrocodone, as dangerous drowsiness may occur. Discuss all your medical conditions and all medicines you take with your doctor before beginning to take Hydrocodone.
You should never take Hydrocodone without a prescription, or outside of a doctor's care. Overdose may occur, and is characterized by dizziness, seizure, or coma. Hydrocodone overdose is life-threatening, and should be treated immediately. Overdose is more likely to happen because Hydrocodone is extremely addictive, and users who are addicted to it end up having to take more and more of the drug to get the same effect. It is possible to become mentally addicted to Hydrocodone, physically addicted to it, or even both. Do not suddenly stop taking Hydrocodone without talking to your doctor. He or she may want to gradually reduce your dosage, in order to avoid Hydrocodone withdrawal symptoms. Hydrocodone addiction is very serious, so let your doctor know if you feel you are becoming addicted. Your doctor can refer you to programs or places that can help you fight your addiction.
As previously mentioned, you should not buy Hydrocodone without a prescription. However, once you have gotten a prescription, there are may reputable sources to buy Hydrocodone online. Online pharmacies offer delivery direct to your home for your convenience.
