Lotensin

The drug Lotensin is a medicine prescribed by doctors to help lower a patient’s blood pressure. Lotensin can be prescribed alone or in conjunction with other medications depending on the person’s health and their needs. If you need to take medication for high blood pressure, but are unsure about what the best type to take is, you should consult with your doctor and ask questions such as “Is Lotensin a beta blocker?” It isn’t, but it does cause similar reactions and risks as beta blockers do. You will likely be given many options by your doctor, depending on how high your blood pressure is and your willingness to try other remedies. Some people prefer to replace Lotensin with herbs, and your doctor may or may not agree with this type of treatment. Comparisons can be made such as Plavix and Lotensin as well as Teveton vs. Lotensin.

Your Lotensin dosage will depend on your needs, and your doctor will continuously monitor your blood pressure while you are on Lotensin so that they can not only make sure it is having a benefit, but also so that adjustments can be made to your dosage whenever necessary. You should never take Lotensin with no prescription because the side effects of Lotensin can be severe. Taken over time, Lotensin can cause liver or kidney damage, and these need to be monitored while the medication is being taken. And, without a prescription, you wouldn’t even know for sure whether the pills you are taking are Lotensin pills or not. A Lotensin cough or other reactions can become severe, and monitoring while on the medicine is always a good idea. It is also very important that your doctor knows of all medications you are taking, even if it is just a combination of Lotensin and Ibuprofen.

Pregnant women should not take Lotensin unless a doctor deems it completely necessary because it can cause birth defects for the baby. It is also recommended that, while taking Lotensin, all users use protection to avoid pregnancy and stop taking the medicine under a physician’s supervision before ever trying to become pregnant. When used properly, and monitored accordingly, Lotensin can greatly reduce blood pressure, keeping you in better health and help you live a longer life. But only take Lotensin under the advice of a doctor who knows your complete medical history so that you will experience more of the benefits of this medication and less of the bad side effects.
