Prometrium

Prometrium is a type of drug that is usually prescribed to postmenopausal women who take hormone replacement medicines. These hormone therapies can damage the lining of the uterus, and Prometrium will prevent this buildup. Prometrium is also sometimes prescribed to restart periods that have unnaturally stopped. It is also possible that Prometrium will follow a spontaneous abortion. Since Pometrium avoids buildup of the uterine lining, this can be a necessary drug during this period.

Prometrium effects will vary depending on the person. There are many known side effects of Prometrium that can include an increased risk of blood clots, effects on blood sugar levels, sudden drops in blood pressure resulting in fainting, liver damage and more. These Prometrium side effects do not occur in everyone, and there are some people who should not take Prometrium, such as those with severe liver or kidney disease. In some cases, the doctor may allow you to take Prometrium, but will monitor you closely to make sure no damage is being done by the progesterone Pometrium side effects.

There are other considerations that should be made when Prometrium is prescribed, such as Prometrium and IVF, and the side effects of Prometrium hormone pill on other conditions can be important. For example, Prometrium during pregnancy is not recommended and breastfeeding mothers should only be given Prometrium if absolutely necessary. Not only are pregnancy and Prometrium not a good combination, but women with a propensity for migraines or depression should also not be given this medication. Prometrium also contains peanut oil, so women who are allergic to peanuts should never take this medicine. Because of all of these considerations, you cannot purchase Prometrium without a prescription.

There are two strengths of Prometrium, and the amount you receive is based on whether you are being given the medication to restart periods or whether you are postmenopausal. A lack of menstruation with Prometrium is only going to happen if you are postmenopausal, and Prometrium to stop bleeding is not usually considered. Your Prometrium dose will depend on your needs and you will be given a certain amount for a certain amount of days. Prometrium is taken in the evenings, and you should be sure to take all doses at the correct time. Missing a dose or taking it at a different time can effect the way Prometrium will work within your body, possibly interrupting the cycle it is trying to create.
