Temazepam is a hypnotic drug, known specifically as a Benzodiazepine derivative. Its brand names include Restoril, Normison, Tenox and Temaze. The drug has proven effective in treating insomnia, since it depresses the central nervous system and brain, causing drowsiness. Temazepam has also proven effective in hypnosis therapy, as the drug possesses powerful anticonvulsant and sedative properties.

Dosage For Temazepam

Temazepam is prescribed by a doctor and dosage may vary depending on the specific condition and treatment. Generally, Temazepam is taken orally, with or without food, and about a half hour before bedtime. In order for the medication to be effective regular dosing should be followed as prescribed. There is also a need to be cautious when taking this medication, as it can cause drowsiness and difficulty in coordination.
